Ms. Brandi Herrera will speak about her recent business venture, Helado Rosa, a color concept shop featuring handcrafted works by Mexican artisans. Each season's limited-edition collection is gathered during her travels throughout Mexico and the U.S. Southwest, and built around a palette that reflects the landscapes and cultures of those regions. About the Presenter  

Brandi Katherine Herrera is a Portland, Oregon based multidisciplinary artist, poet, and translator, whose work explores the poetics of space. She holds a MFA in Poetry from Pacific University. Her work has been featured in a number of public exhibitions, performance series, and publications, and is held in various permanent collections and archives, including the Seattle Art Museum, Yale University's Faber Birren Collection of Books on Color, and UCLA's Louise M. Darling Special Collections.   

With more than fifteen years experience in content strategy and identity development, visual content creation and art direction, copywriting and editorial direction for both print and digital platforms, Ms. Herrera is also Editor in Chief of the Design Week Portland Journal, Managing Editor of The Great Discontent, Founder + Co-Owner of Helado Rosa, and the Founder + Creative Director of The Art of Story.
