As previously announced, Dell has made significant changes to the Latitude line of laptops that Ithaca College uses as the standard Windows laptop under the Technology Renewal Program. With this change, the type of docking station that has been used for the last several years will no longer work with the new standard Dell Latitude 7280 model.
Due to Dell’s changes with both their Optiplex desktop and Latitude laptop computers, we are moving to new standard models for both types of computer.
The Optiplex 5050 Small Form Factor desktop and the Latitude 7280 laptop will be the standard technology renewal replacement models going forward. Both items are now offered through the IT Catalog, /its/purchase/catalog.php.
Due to changes in Apple’s product line, we find it necessary to make some changes to the standard Macintosh platform for the Technology Renewal Program. We will be moving from the iMac desktop computer to the Mac Mini as the standard Macintosh platform in the program.
