Digital Media Lab

The Digital Media Lab in Job 102 is open to all students, staff and faculty for hands-on learning with various digital media, including Podcasting, Virtual Reality, and Photo, Video and Audio Recording Equipment.

Hours

The Digital Media Lab's staffed hours are 1pm-6pm Monday-Friday. Equipment checkouts, virtual reality, and the multipurpose studio are available during this time.

The Podcast studio has extended hours: 11am-7pm Monday-Friday. Check in at the Makerspace in Friends 102 for podcast reservations that occur outside of the DML staffed hours.

Virtual reality headsets are available for use in Job 102

Available headsets:

  • Meta/Oculus Quest 2 and 3

Outfitted with LED lights, a strobe kit, various continuous lighting kits, greenscreen, grey and white photo backdrops, sound dampening panels, open space for 6DOF VR

  • Equipment checkouts can be made online at the Patron Portal by selecting checkout center "IC Makerspace and Digital Media Lab".
  • Equipment checkouts can be requested in person during DML open hours. 
  • Checkouts and Return appointments may only be made during DML open hours. 
  • The maximum checkout time is one week.
  • There is a one-hour grace period for checkout and return times. 
  • Late returns will result in a one-month ban using the checkout center. One hour past your designated return time is considered late
