Office 365 Applications

As an Ithaca College student, faculty, or staff member, you have access to more than 15 Microsoft applications and services. Visit apps.ithaca.edu and click on the Office 365 Portal to get started! Ithaca College-owned devices come with the latest version of Office 365 which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive already installed. You can also install Office on up to 5 personal devices­­­­­­­­­­. It includes:

  • Word for editing and real-time collaboration of personal or shared documents
  • Excel for spreadsheets
  • PowerPoint for presentations
  • Bookings for online appointment bookings that is integrated with Outlook
  • Forms for simple data collection; can be embedded in a Drupal website or in a Teams team
  • OneDrive to access and share your files anywhere, anytime, with 1 TB of cloud storage, automatic backup, Files On-Demand, version history, integration with Canvas including Cloud Assignments, and more
  • OneNote to create a digital free-form notebook that allows you to organize your notes in one central application, use search to easily find content, and collaborate with your students using a OneNote Class Notebook
  • Outlook for email and calendar: stay connected in-person and virtually with the Zoom for Outlook Add-In and Microsoft Teams Meeting add-in
  • Planner for lightweight project management, to set deadlines, and assign tasks to team members
  • SharePoint for secure document management
  • Sway for engaging and interactive reports and presentations
  • Teams for communication and collaboration; Teams classes and Teams meetings are available integrations within a Canvas course that allow for further engagement between instructors and students, group collaboration opportunities, and integrated virtual meetings.

Other Applications

Web Forms and Data Collection

  • Formstack is used to create web forms for data collection, surveys, and workflows. Formstack features the ability to collect health-related data that may fall under HIPAA requirements, collect online payments, accept file uploads, generate PDF documents based upon form submissions through Formstack Documents, and accept electronic signatures through Adobe Sign and Formstack Sign.
  • Microsoft Forms is used to create simple web surveys, quizzes, and polls.
  • Qualtrics is used to create web surveys and questionnaires.
