August 2023 Jumpstart Program for new IC students

Jumpstart is a collaboration between several departments on campus that offers new students a chance to explore the local community, learn about resources on campus, and meet new friends. We are offering 14 one-and-a-half-day Jumpstart programs on a variety of topics before Orientation begins.

There is no cost for new first-year and transfer students to participate in this program, but there is an application process and you must be accepted into the program to participate. Applications will open on Monday, May 15 and will close on Monday, July 3.

All accepted Jumpstart participants will get to move in to their residence hall rooms on Monday, August 14!  The Jumspstart program will begin with dinner on that Monday night, and will run through midday on Wednesday, August 16.

Read about each program and its distinct focus, then choose your favorites to rank on the application!
