Jumpstart Your IC Experience

In one of our pre-semester programs for incoming first-year and transfer students, you can make early connections within your new community on campus and beyond. Each program has a different focus, and selected participants will join in activities and exercises designed around those themes.

There is no cost for new first-year and transfer students to participate in this program, but there is a selection process, so please make sure your application responses are thoughtful and authentic.

Important Dates

June 17: Online application process opens.

July 16: Online application process closes at 11:59 p.m. (EST).

July 18: Applicants will be notified about their status via email.

July 25: Selected applicants must confirm their acceptance.

August 22: Students move into their fall room assignment on Wednesday, August 22.

August 22–24: All four Jumpstart programs run simultaneously from 5:00 pm Wednesday until 10:00 pm Friday. Participants will be in activities this entire time, with time reserved for participants to sleep and eat. All meals are provided during the program.
