The charge of the Academic Policies Committee (APC) is to review, maintain, and improve policies and procedures affecting academic policy and curriculum at Ithaca College.
Syllabus Templates Available for Fall 2021
Faculty may download and use a syllabus template that complies with the APC-approved policy for course syllabi. This annotated template includes recently revised Fall 2021 Health and Safety Guidance for classroom instruction.
We have also prepared a version suitable for faculty who wish to download a template without annotations.
Proposals for all new and substantially revised programs must be received by APC by November 1; please include all related course proposals in support of these changes at the same time as any program submission. Please note that this is the APC deadline; deadlines for School Curriculum Committees' consideration are earlier. Please consult your Curriculum Committee chair for those dates.
All other proposals received by December 1 are guaranteed to be reviewed/considered by APC before the end of the academic year. For inclusion in the 2022-2023 Undergraduate Catalog, proposals must be approved at or before the last full APC meeting of the spring semester. For inclusion in the 2022-2023 Graduate Catalog, the proposal must have been approved by Graduate Council prior to the final APC meeting of the academic year.
Proposals are due the Tuesday before the agenda is posted. Agendas are posted a week before the scheduled meeting.
