Faculty Curriculum, Governance, and Advisory Committees

Academic Calendar Committee: evaluates and proposes a calendar each year and assess other university and college calendars
All-College Teacher Education Committee: governing body of teaching education at Ithaca College that sets policy & procedures to ensure that Ithaca College teacher education programs meet NYSED's professional standards
All-College Tenure and Promotion Committee: reviews the file of each candidate for tenure and/or promotion and makes recommendations to the Provost
APC: All-College Committees on Assessment, Policy, Curriculum: provides faculty oversight for college-wide activities in each of these academic areas. Each Committee operates independently.
Faculty and Staff Benefits Committee: consultative committee liaising with HR concerning current benefits and proposed changes in benefits
Institutional Biosafety Committee: reviews all College research and teaching activities on Ithaca College property that involve the use of biohazardous materials
Dana Professor Selection Advisory Committee: advises on selection of Dana Professor
Educational Technologies Advisory Committee: provides valuable insights and perspectives to Ithaca College Leadership about the teaching, learning, and research experience of faculty and students using technology at IC

Faculty Grievance Committee: establishes a regular procedure for the faculty of Ithaca College to resolve problems and disputes
Faculty Handbook Amendment Committee: standing committee of the Faculty Council that advises on amendments to the Handbook
Faculty Personnel Appeals Committee: hears faculty appeals regarding reappointment, promotion, and tenure
Graduate Council: addressed graduate-related activities, policies and procedures, and curriculum
Honorary Degree Advisory Committee: reviews nominations and makes recommendations for honorary degrees
Health Professions Advisory Committee: advisory group for students considering a career in the health professions
IACUC(Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee): ensures compliance with the Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals
ICC-CAC Committee :reviews proposals for ICC course designations, assesses the ICC, and proposes ICC changes regarding curriculum, policy, and assessment
IEBC (Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee): ensures the effective linkage of budget priorities to initiatives guided by the College's strategic plan
IRB (Institutional Review Board): reviews all research and teaching activities conducted by IC faculty, staff, and students that involve the use of human participants to ensure that these activities minimize the potential for risk
TRAC (Teaching Resource Allocation Committee): advises the provost on faculty position allocations
