Have you ever shared a room with someone? For some students, living with a roommate will be a new experience. To some extent, sharing your room assignment will be sharing in each other's lives throughout the time you live together at Ithaca College.
Following summer housing assignments, your roommate(s) will be listed on HomerConnect. We encourage you to contact your roommate prior to arriving on campus to introduce yourself!
While you and your roommate do not have to be close friends, you will live together and share in many aspects of college life. The best way for you and your roommate to get to know each other and avoid unintentional conflicts is to talk about your likes and dislikes, and expectations of how you will use your room space.
We have created a Roommate Agreement to help facilitate the process of getting to know each other. We encourage you to sit down together and work out a living environment that is mutually agreeable. Your Resident Assistant (RA) is available to assist you in getting to know your roommate and to help you complete your roommate agreement.
