Applications open for the 2021 season January 15.

Applicants require the following to complete their application:

  1. Submit the online application (link to be provided when applications open). (Applicants must create a Campminder account.)
  2. Upload an official high school transcript or most recent semester grade report to your Campminder account, or email transcript as PDF document (no shared files) to summercollege@ithaca.edu, or fax it to 866-924-6272.
  3. Upload application essay in response to the prompt to your Campminder account, or email as PDF document (no shared files) to summercollege@ithaca.edu, or fax it to 866-924-6272.
  4. Submit nonrefundable $35 application fee

Precollege STEM applicants require the following to complete their application:

  1. Submit the online application (link provided after applications open). (Applicants must create a Campminder account.)
  2. Upload an official high school transcript or most recent semester grade report to your Campminder account, or email transcript as PDF document (no shared files) to summercollege@ithaca.edu, or fax it to 866-924-6272.
  3. Upload the general Summer College admissions essay to your Campminder account, or email as PDF document (no shared files) to summercollege@ithaca.edu, or fax it to 866-924-6272.
  4. Complete the STEM-specific essay response to the following prompt: 

We want to know more about you and your interest in STEM. In a short essay of three to five paragraphs, explain why you want to attend the pre-college STEM Institute at IC. If you've had a special STEM interest or an interest in one of our faculty research projects, tell us about it. Are you interested in a STEM-related career? Tell us that too. (You will have an opportunity to upload your reply in the Forms section; you can also email your reply to: summercollege@ithaca.edu).

Required documents can be returned in one of the following ways:

  • Uploaded to your application account
  • Faxed to 866-924-6272
  • Emailed to summercollege@ithaca.edu.
  • Mailed, hard-copy documents cannot be accepted at this time. 

We cannot accept shared Google docs.

Early application is recommended. Admission decisions are made as applications are received. Early applicants have a greater likelihood of receiving their choice of courses. Students will be notified of their application status on average one week after submission of their completed application and all accompanying documents.

Application deadline: May 15

Payment in full reserves a seat in your admitted five-week course preference. Seat availability cannot be guaranteed until full payment is made.

Program payment deadline: June 1

Using the Online Application

  1. Apply for using the online application
  2. Save your username and password.
  3. Be sure to include Parent/Guardian info first, or else we'll think you have your parent's name.
  4. Once you've submitted the application, and it's time to upload additional application requirements, like your transcript, visit the LOGIN page, and sign in using YOUR PARENT/GUARDIAN username and password.
  5. Click the link for Documents and follow the instructions to upload and pay $35 application fee.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is June 15 (extended) for both domestic U.S. and international students.
