Stefanie Nicou is an oboist and educator from Long Island, NY. She holds a Master’s degree in Oboe Performance from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH, and a Bachelors degree in Music Education and Performance from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.
Stefanie has performed at Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center and performed in Masterclasses for Pedro Diaz, James Austin Smith, Reid Messich, Elizabeth Koch and the Akropolis Reed Quintet. She spent the past year working with the Detroit Youth Symphony Orchestra as a mentor for students in the band and orchestra program. Stefanie plans to continue performing, build a studio of private oboe students and teach in a public school.
