During session, The Center for Music closes at 1AM Sunday through Thursday, and at midnight Friday and Saturday.
The Center for Music hours during summer (May 22 - August 19) will be 7AM-11PM every day.

Whalen Center has over 70 practice rooms, and all are available to be used first-come first-served, but students may also reserve time in practice rooms via GoPractice, a web-based scheduling system that works like an app on your smartphone. To sign out practice rooms with GoPractice, contact Molly Windover at mwindover@ithaca.edu for the registration link.
Piano majors may reserve up to three hours per day in a grand piano room
Non-pianists may reserve up to three hours per day in upright piano rooms
Percussionists may reserve 2 hours per room per day in the percussion rooms
Hours above and beyond these amounts depend on the number of requests received each semester, and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis
If you are using an unoccupied practice room without a reservation, just know that someone with a reservation may knock at any moment, at which point you are welcome to find another unoccupied room.
There are also larger rooms available for rehearsal and coaching space for chamber ensembles. To sign out these spaces, use this online form (used for any room in the building EXCEPT individual practice rooms) or contact Erik Kibelsbeck (ekibelsbeck@ithaca.edu), room 3328 (in the main office).
A lost and found bin is kept outside the main music office (JJWCM 3322) in the third-floor lounge. To report a missing item or drop off a found item, please drop by or call (607) 274-3717.
