Degree Page: B.M. Composition
Additional Application Requirements:
- Two (2) scores of original works (with sound files, if possible).
Audition Requirements:
- One (1) work of J. S. Bach.
- One (1) movement from a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven.
- One (1) work of comparable difficulty of the candidate's choice (no jazz, pop, or self-composed pieces).
NOTE: All music is to be played from memory.
Interview Requirements:
- Speak with a member of our Composition faculty and ask any specific questions you may have about the Composition degree program.

Audition Requirements:
- One (1) work of J. S. Bach.
- One (1) movement from a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven.
- One (1) work of comparable difficulty of the candidate's choice (no jazz, pop, or self-composed pieces).
NOTE: All music is to be played from memory.

Audition Requirements:
- J. S. Bach: A prelude and fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier or three (3) movements of a suite.
- A complete sonata by Beethoven (excluding op. 49), Schubert, or Mozart, or a Haydn sonata of comparable difficulty.
- One (1) large-scale (approximately 10 minutes) work or a group of shorter pieces from the 19th or 20th century representing lyrical and virtuoso styles.
NOTE: All music is to be played from memory.

Interview Requirements:
- Meet with members of the SRT faculty, practice critical listening skills, and discuss your background in audio engineering thus far. Approximately 20 minutes.
