Encouraging the creation of new choral music for over three decades, the 42nd Annual Choral Composition Contest is now accepting entries. Compositions should be suitable for high school Mixed Choral Ensembles (SATB – Some divisi acceptable).
The Robert Campbell ’40, M.S. ’50, Endowed Choral Composition Prize will be awarded to the first-place winner in the annual Choral Composition Festival. Winners of first and second place will also be awarded the following cash prizes:
First Place - $1,200 | Second Place - $700
Winners will be announced at the 42nd Annual Choral Composition Festival Concert on March 27, 2021.
Details of the March 27, 2021 event will be forthcoming.
Sponsored by the Ithaca College School of Music and Mark Foster Publishing (a division of Hal Leonard), this competition is open to all composers except for Ithaca College faculty, staff, and students and anyone who has been awarded First Place in this Choral Composition Contest within the last five years.
Applications must be postmarked by December 1, 2020.
