The HSHP Movement Analysis Laboratory is a brand new facility located in Center for Health Sciences. Under the direction of experienced faculty members and a biomechanist coordinator, the lab fosters collaborative scientific research to answer the most current and clinically relevant questions. In the Movement Analysis Laboratory, students have access to the latest equipment including motion capture, forceplates, plantar pressure analysis, electromyography, isokinetic dynamometry, balance testing, and metabolic measurement.

Joshua Tome has worked as the Research Biomechanist for Ithaca College since 2003, coordinating all research studies conducted in the Movement Analysis Laboratory in Rochester and now in its new location in Ithaca. His research focuses on the investigation of biomechanics in lower extremity injuries and pathologies as well as the development of equipment and techniques used to assess injury.
