The Business Productivity group is responsible for business productivity, organizational communication and collaboration, and workflow applications and services.

Office 365 Applications

Ithaca College provides and supports Microsoft Office 365 at no cost to students, faculty, and staff, which includes:

  • Word for documents
  • Excel for spreadsheets
  • PowerPoint for presentations
  • Forms for simple data collection; can be embedded in a Drupal website or in a Teams team
  • OneDrive, which includes 1 TB of secure, online storage; integrated into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • OneNote for capturing notes by typing, drawing, or writing
  • Outlook for email and calendar
  • Planner for lightweight project management
  • SharePoint for secure document management
  • Sway for engaging and interactive reports and presentations
  • Teams for organizational communication and collaboration
  • To Do for task management

IC also provides access to:

  • Access for database management
  • Dynamics 365 for business processes and applications
  • Flow for workflows and automation between applications, files, and data
  • PowerApps for mobile and web applications that connect to data
  • PowerBI for self-service business intelligence capabilities
  • Project for project management and roadmap creation
  • Publisher for desktop publications
  • Shifts for shift schedule viewing and management accessible in Teams
  • Visio for diagramming and vector graphics

Web Forms and Data Collection

  • Formstack is used to create web forms for data collection, surveys, and workflows. Formstack features the ability to collect health-related data that may fall under HIPAA requirements, collect online payments, accept file uploads, generate PDF documents based upon form submissions through Formstack Documents, and accept electronic signatures through Adobe Sign and Formstack Sign.
  • Microsoft Forms is used to create simple web surveys, quizzes, and polls.
  • Qualtrics is used to create web surveys and questionnaires.
  • Orbeon is used to create web forms for advanced data collection and workflows.
