Variable-data printing is a form of printing in which text (addresses), graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next without stopping or slowing down the printing process, using information from a database or external file. For example, a set of personalized postcards, each with the same basic layout, can be printed with a different name and address on each one during the print process.

A brochure can be printed for multiple students.  Each student brochure may have different images but the printer does not have to be stopped to set up for each one.  They can all run at the same time therefore having mass production but with mass customization.

Bulk mail and variable data files can be placed in the Bulk Mail and Print Media Technology folder in Mentor at this location:   Mentor_Shared_CtrPrintProd_Files for Print Media_Campus
