Step 1: Update your resume
Make an appointment at Career Services for creative ideas, feedback, or to attend a resume writing workshop.
Step 2: Make sure you meet the GPA, judicial, and leadership requirements.
NSTP will confirm GPA and judicial checks for all candidates; to ensure acceptable academic standing (with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 maintained through the spring semester - see also Job Description)
Step 3: Review the essay questions & submit your video response to firstname.lastname@example.org with "Orientation staff video submission" as the subject line (10 minute max)
As an Orientation Leader you are responsible for facilitating and making connections with a small group of incoming students. What topics do you feel are important to cover at this time?

Step 4: share the name of one reference (no letter needed)
This must be an Ithaca College professional staff member, administrator, or faculty reference and must be outside of the NSTP Office.
Step 5: select all available group process dates and prepare presentation
Please put the times you select (in the application) into your personal calendar to make sure you do not forget! You will get a confirmation email from NSTP to confirm your assigned time.
In order to get to know you better please prepare a three-minute presentation (using powerpoint, canva, video, or similar). These will be presented in small groups with other applicants along with a professional staff and student staff evaluators during your scheduled group process. This presentation should be all about you. We want to know about your hobbies, involvement, family/friends, fun-facts, major/school, and/or anything else you’d like to share.
