1.4 Administration

1.4.1 The President of Ithaca College

The president is the chief executive officer of the College and is appointed by the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees grants the president the general powers and duties of supervision and management of the business affairs of the College and the general direction of all of the academic programs of the College. The president's duties include without limitation the areas of: fundraising and development; public and alumni relations; institutional, faculty and educational leadership; long-range and strategic planning; student and faculty recruitment; and appointment, supervision, promotion, and dismissal of executive officers of the College.

1.4.2 Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the College's academic programs. Serve as the College's chief academic officer and provide academic direction, encourage creativity, and provide leadership to deans, directors and faculty. Oversee, develop and evaluate the financial planning and management of all academic affairs. Serve as a member of the president's executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedures, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College.

1.4.3 Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Trustees

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the College's legal affairs. Serve as the College's primary legal officer and provide advice to the board of trustees, president, administration, faculty, and staff on all legal matters affecting the institution. Serve as a member of the president's executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedures, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College.

1.4.4 Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life in order to enhance the overall educational experience of the Ithaca College student body through extracurricular and cocurricular learning. Provide administrative guidance in the planning, development, implementation and administration of programs, polices, services and activities affecting the health, safety, development and campus life experience for approximately 4767 students, and to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for the campus community. Serve as a member of the president's executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedure, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College

1.4.5 Sr. Vice President for Finance and Administration and CFO

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the College's fiscal resources, information technology programs, physical facilities, general administrative services, and the College's retail book and convenience stores. Serve as the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer and provide administrative guidance and leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures involving the investment and disbursement of the College's fiscal resources. Serve as a member of the president's executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedures, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College. Serve as liaison to appropriate committees of the Board of Trustees.

1.4.6  Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Strategy

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the College's enrollment management programs that include admission, career services, enrollment planning, institutional research, and student financial services. Provide administrative guidance and leadership in the planning and development of strategies and programs designed to realize the College's undergraduate and graduate student enrollment goals. Serve as a member of the president’s executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedures, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College.

1.4.7 Vice President for Advancement

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the College's advancement programs that include development, alumni relations, and advancement services. Provide administrative guidance and leadership in the planning and development of strategies and programs designed to enhance lifelong engagement with alumni, parents, and other friends of the College, as well as increased financial support. Serve as a member of the president’s executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedures, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College.

1.4.8 Senior Vice President for Strategic Services and Initiatives

Exercise executive and administrative direction over the Division of Information Technology, the Office of Human Resources, and cross-institutional strategic initiatives. Provide administrative guidance in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of programs, policies, services, and activities related to strategic services and institutional priorities. Lead campus-wide strategic initiatives at the direction of the President. Provide administrative oversight of Human Resources, Institutional Research, Applications and Infrastructure, IT Support, Information Security, and artificial intelligence integration. Serve as a member of the president's executive council, which in concert with other senior officers of the College develops institutional objectives, budget priorities, policies and procedures, and overall planning for the day-to-day administration of the College.
