Listed to the left are several recommendations of courses for a variety of Areas of Study to fulfill the requirements of the Television-Radio degree. A student may choose to follow the recommendations, modify the recommendations, or design their own Area of Study in consultation with their academic advisor and/or the Television-Radio Program Director.
Area of Study Requirements:
Students must complete a minimum of 24 credits to fulfill an Area of Study:
- At least 16 credits must be in courses with a TVR prefix of which 8 credits must be at the 300 level or above.
- A maximum of 3 out of the 24 credits can be TVR Internship credits.
- Credits from the following areas may be applied to an Area of Study: Cinema and Photography (CNPH); Journalism (JOUR); Media Arts, Sciences and Studies (MASS); Music for Non-Majors (MUNM); Sport Media & Management (SPMM); Theatre Arts (THEA); Strategic Communication (STCM); and General Communications (GCOM).
