How We Make a Difference

Your First Session: What to Expect

The initial session is typically focused on getting to know you and understanding your holistic college experience which includes academic goals, challenges, strength, and aspirations. We will actively listen to your concerns, offering a non-judgmental space for open communication. Expect a collaborative discussion to identify areas of improvement and create a personalized plan tailored to your needs. We will provide valuable insights, guidance on effective study strategies, and help you navigate available resources on campus.

Questions to consider:

  • What would you like to get out of today’s meeting?
  • What are your academic goals for the semester? Extracurricular goals? Personal goals?
  • How do you define success?

  • Why did you choose this major?
  • What is the biggest challenge you face right now?
