ICC Overview

Integrative Core Curriculum (ICC) Overview

Perspectives:

  • Natural Science (ICC-SC)
  • Social Science (ICC-SO)
  • Creative Arts (ICC-CA)
  • Humanities (ICC-HM)

ICC Additional Requirements:

  • ICSM 10500 or 10800 or 19000- Ithaca Seminar (completed in first semester)
  • WRTG 10600- Academic Writing- Can be fulfilled by ICSM 10800, WRTG 10600 or equivalent AP/transfer credit (Should be done by end of Sophomore year)
  • ICC-Writing Intensive
  • Diversity (ICC-DV)
  • Quantitative Literacy (ICC-QL)
  • ICC Capstone - Typically take either semester of senior year.

*Special Notes about ICC Requirements:

  • ICC Perspectives – SC, SO, CA and HM- AP/college level courses transferred in may be used for ICC, but student may need to submit a ICC Designation Form on IC Workflow.
  • ICC Perspectives – SC, SO, CA and HM- Some majors automatically complete one of these requirements- see catalog for more information.
  • ICC-DV, ICC-QL, WRTG 10600 and ICC-WI can use transfer & AP/IB credits to fulfill requirements but student may need to submit a ICC Designation Form on IC Workflow.
  • Courses within a students major designated as ICC Perspectives (CA, SO, SC, HM) CANNOT be used in ICC perspectives and major- only in the major.
