Important Dates and Deadlines

Fall 2019 Opening

Tuesday               August 27            Convocation and Community Picnic
                                                            Students, please join us at the A&E Center beginning at 10:00 AM.
                                                            Office of the Registrar will be closed from 08:00 AM – 01:00 PM.

Wednesday        August 28            Classes Begin at 08:00 AM, Follow your Monday Class Schedule
                                                           Note: This is the last semester we will do this.
                                                           Next fall, classes begin on Monday and we start reading days (a day
                                                                            to study and prepare) before finals!
                                                           Waitlist notification will be reduced to 12 hours to register for a class 
                                                                            (from 24 hours) if you receive the email that a seat has opened.

Monday               September 2      Labor Day – No Classes.
                                                           Last Day Waitlist Notifications will be sent if a seat is available.

Wednesday        September 4      LAST DAY TO ADD/DROP CLASSES
                                                           Full Semester classes AND Block I.

Extended Hours for Opening:
                  Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st open until 07:00 PM
                  Sunday, August 25th open from 12:00 Noon to 05:00 PM

Attention Seniors May 2020 Honor Cord Information

Graduation Honor Cords for May 2020 Ceremony

The Latin honors listed within the commencement program and honor cord distribution during cap and gown pick up are based on cumulative GPA calculated and IC credits earned as of February 1, 2020.  
This calculation and deadline is for the purposes of the ceremony only and does not affect the final awarded degree or transcript. 
Changes will not be made to ceremony honors status or distribution of honor cords after February 1, 2020.

Graduation Honors for awarded Degree and Final Transcripts

Seniors whose FINAL cumulative GPA reflects excellent scholarship are awarded their degree with the designation of  cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude. The cumulative GPA ranges for the three honors designations are listed below. A minimum of 60 credits must be earned at Ithaca College to qualify for this recognition.

MAGNA CUM LAUDE 3.700 - 3.899
CUM LAUDE 3.500 - 3.699
