Students will need to submit an application for degree (apply to graduate) in HomerConnect. A step-by-step guide is provided above.
Please note that UG students will need a minimum of 100 earned credits and Graduate Students a minimum of 21 earned credits to access the application. If you need to make a change to your application after you have submitted it, please email registrar@ithaca.edu for assistance.
This is not the same as registering for Commencement. The application for degree only lets us know that you are approaching the end of your degree requirements, how you would like your name to appear on your diploma, and where we should send it.
Students may participate in the Commencement Ceremony that aligns with their graduation date, the one before or the one after. For example, a student graduating in December 2025 is eligible to participate in the May 2025, December 2025 or May 2026 Commencement Ceremonies.
