Three ways to earn a master's degree in media: online, low-residency, and on campus

Communications Innovation (M.S.) online

The Communications Innovation (M.S.) degree program is designed to accelerate the careers of the next generation of change leaders in the media field through coursework, networking, and distinctive experiences that center around the leadership of change and innovation.  Applicants must have at least 5 years of experience in some area of the communications - media industry.  The courses are online and asynchronous to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.  These are enhanced by several "destination intensive" courses over long weekends at leading conferences and centers of innovation.

Image Text (MFA) low residency

The Image Text MFA degree is a unique low-residency terminal degree program focused on the intersection of writing and photography.  Applicants must have a portfolio in either writing or lens-based media such as photography.  The 25 month program incorporates month-long residencies in Ithaca during the summer, a week-long winter session at an international cultural center such as London, plus online collaboration and coursework during the fall and spring semesters.
