Exceptional Faculty

Our faculty are exceptional educators who love to share their expertise with students. But they are also active in their profession. Jack Bryant is the writer of Fair Haven and the recently released The Madam of Purity Falls, which premiered theatrically in Los Angeles in May 2019 and premiered on Lifetime on July 20th. The film is currently screening in Europe via Beta and will continue to air on Lifetime here in the US. Elizabeth Nonas literally wrote the book on "story" based on her years of teaching; Story Workout is a workbook with exercises to develop the stories you want to tell. She won the college's Teaching Excellence award in 2008. Nick Sagan wrote the science fiction novels Idlewild, Edenborn, and Everfree, and his screen credits include episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager. Julie Blumberg came to Ithaca in 2007 from Los Angeles, where she worked as a screen and television writer. Among other credits, she was a staff writer and story editor for J.J. Abrams’ first television series Felicity, starring Kerri Russell, Scott Speedman, and Scott Foley. Most recently, she co-wrote the screenplay for The Manhattan Front, a feature film that debuted in Ithaca in October 2017.
