While studying at Ithaca College, you can join one or more organizations, including the Beta Alpha Psi honor society, the Ithaca College Accounting Association, and the National Association of Black Accountants. Not only will you develop lifelong friends, you’ll also have the opportunity to network with alumni and make valuable business contacts.

Travel and learn with Ithaca College.

Head to Alaska during spring break to prepare tax returns for native Alaskans in remote villages as part of our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Get real-world experience with an internship at one of the “big four” accounting firms in New York City. Study abroad at our London Center to get an international perspective and multicultural experience. At Ithaca College, there are plenty of opportunities for you to expand your worldview while gaining professional experience.

Challenge Yourself.

Accounting students tend to be very capable and motivated students. At Ithaca College many accounting majors double major in finance or have minors outside the Business School. Your faculty adviser will work with you to help you plan an ambitious and challenging program that goes well beyond the standard accounting program.

The Accounting Faculty.

The accounting faculty blend real world experience and academic knowledge. They have worked in Big Four firms, have run their own firms, served as consultants, and have written exam questions for the national CPA exam.  Professor Libby is the co-author of the most widely used accounting textbook in the country. All are dedicated professors interested in their students’ success.
