Clinical and Mental Health

Research Team 12
Supervised by
Hugh Stephenson
Office: Williams 111

Research for this team revolves around broad issues of mental health and abnormal psychology, particularly as they apply to college students. Team members analyze data based on quantitative studies that address's constructs including depression, social support, interoceptive awareness, anxiety, experience in therapy and experience with medication among others. Periodically the team also does qualitative research that explores subjective reactions to treatment interventions.

Students present their work at local regional and national conferences and this team should be of particular interest to those with mental health interests. Students should have completed abnormal psychology and, ideally, testing and assessment before joining team.
