Hybrid of Virtual & In-Person Services

Starting with the 2022-2023 academic year, we are offering in person and telehealth services. We are excited to see students in person again!

We continue to adhere to guidelines from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), a national regulatory agency, as our offices are located in the Hammond Health Building along with other Ithaca College healthcare facilities.  Students coming to CAPS will be assessed for COVID symptoms prior to entering. CAPS counselors are on campus and available for in-person intervention in the case of an emergency or crisis.

Other free, confidential options include group therapy, skills-based support groupsLet's Talkconsultations, and after-hours on-call counselor services.

Additionally, we provide private, confidential spaces on campus for students needing to talk with their CAPS counselors via our encrypted HIPAA-compliant ZOOM platform. These spaces are also available for New York resident students who wish to continue seeing their home counselor or psychiatric provider via telehealth. Students can call CAPS to reserve a private space in advance.
