To make the Medical Leave of Absence process more accessible and visible to our campus community, CAPS is now offering drop-in hours on Wednesdays from 3–5 p.m. (first come, first served) with Geselle Dominguez, Medical Leave Coordinator.
During these 15-minute informative meetings, students can learn about:
- The medical leave application process
- Expected response timelines
- Other questions related to their potential leave experience
**For questions about financial aid or tuition refunds, please contact Student Financial Services.
We invite students with questions or interest in taking a Medical Leave of Absence to stop by during those hours, or to make an in-person or virtual appointment with our Medical Leave Coordinator by contacting the office at counseling@ithaca.edu or by phone at (607) 274-3136 during regular business hours.
At this time, we are prioritizing drop-in hours for our IC student community only. Parents, staff and faculty, and community members wanting to talk about the medical leave process are also welcome to make a virtual appointment by contacting the office at counseling@ithaca.edu or by phone at (607) 274-3136 during regular business hours.
Students can start the MLOA process by filling out the leave of absence or withdrawal form.
For more information about the process of taking a Medical Leave from Ithaca College, for one or two semesters, the general leave of absence or withdrawing page will be helpful.
