Sociology Majors Participate in ASA
Sociology majors Justine Lewis (2010) and Elizabeth Whalley (2009) participated in the Undergraduate Honors Program at the 104th meeting of the American Sociological Association in San Francisco, California, on August 8-11, 2009. In roundtable discussions, Justine Lewis presented her study "The Business Case Perspective for LGBT Workplace Policies," and Elizabeth Whalley presented "'You Throw Like A Girl!': An Analysis of Men's Attitudes Towards Women in Sport." In addition, Justine Lewis co-presented with faculty member Stephen Sweet a poster, "The Sloan Work and Family Research Network: A Resource to Advance Scholarship, Teaching, Policy and Practice."
