A free Ithaca College Jazz Workshop concert will take place on Thursday, April 13, at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall. The performance will be led by Steve Brown and graduate assistant Keaton Akins. Trumpeter Walter White will be the soloist.

Walter White has toured Japan with the Manhattan Jazz Orchestra, Dave Matthews & the Super Latin Jazz Orchestra, and the Toshiko Akioshi/ Lew Tabackin Big Band. During the early 1990s, he toured and recorded with his boyhood hero, trumpeter Maynard Ferguson , and is featured on the CD, “Live from London,” playing “The Fox Hunt,” a sizzling duet with Maynard recorded live at England's famed jazz club, Ronnie Scott's. White’s playing has graced the sound tracks of records, movies, and television; most notably network sitcoms Taxi and The Cosby Show.
