The answers to "What Does Agroecology Mean to Me?" is the subject of the poster published in Rooted Magazine's Issue 4 (April 2026), "Youth Leading the Way in Agroecology," developed in ENVS 280, "Socioecology of Biodiversity in Agroecology." This course was taught in Fall 2025 by Prof. Georgina Catacora-Vargas, a Fulbright Scholar in Residence in the Department of Environment. The poster features words and artistic expressions developed by students at Ithaca College’s Makerspace in response to the question. The poster also portrays the diversity, creativity, and, most importantly, the hope that agroecology can inspire. This piece also serves to raise awareness of the transformative capacity of agroecology to foresee healthier and more fair agricultural and food systems.
