The annual tradition celebrates Ithaca College with fun events centered on philanthropy.

The eighth annual “I Love IC” Week will be held from February 17-21. With events planned and supported by the students in the Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) organization, the week is packed with on-campus events that celebrate all things IC and have a recurring theme of philanthropy.

“’I Love IC Week’ is one of my favorite things that we do every year,” said Rachel Cutsumpas ’20, president of STAT. “It’s really fun to put on, and it’s heartwarming because everyone is celebrating what they love about this school.”

Details of each event are below. Visit www.ithaca.edu/ILoveICWeek for additional details throughout the week, and follow the hashtag #ILoveICWeek on social media to keep up with the festivities.

The week kicks off on Monday, February 17 with Kick Back to Give Back in Emerson Suites from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Teams will compete in a series of “Minute to Win It”–style events featuring trivia and entertainment. Each team will donate $25, and the prize pool will be donated to a charity of the winning team’s choice. All participants will receive an official “I Love IC” Week T-shirt.

On Tuesday, February 18, the Susan A. DiPace ’74 Speaker Series: “Five Under Five – Looking Back, Moving Forward” will take place in Clark and Klingenstein lounges from 7 to 9 p.m. There, young alumni will share their experiences at IC and their transition to professional careers.

Wednesday, February 19 is IC Kindness Day. Students can write thank you cards to faculty and staff who have contributed to their IC experience, and have the chance to write notes of encouragement to others.

Students can chill out on Thursday, February 20, by enjoying free ice cream at Emerson Suites from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and write thank-you notes to Ithaca College donors. There will even be some Ithaca celebrities on hand to scoop the ice cream!

The events will end on Friday, February 21 with “Why I Love IC” Day, taking place in the Campus Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. There, students can answer IC trivia questions and feature a graffiti board for students to write why they love IC.
