Students from Ithaca College’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance will perform at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on Friday, November 13, at 7 p.m., bringing several of the college’s premier music ensembles to New York City ahead of the 2026 Cortaca Jug game between Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland at Yankee Stadium the following afternoon.
“Legacy in Sound: Featuring the Next Generation of Music Educators and Performers” will feature the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, directed by Daniel Cook; Jazz Ensemble, directed by Mike Titlebaum; Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ho-Yin Kwok; and Choir, directed by Khyle Wooten.
Program highlights will include a commissioned work by composer and Ithaca College professor emeritus Dana Wilson, performed by the Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble; Adolphus Hailstork’s Shout for Joy , performed by the Choir; and the final movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, bringing together the Symphony Orchestra and Choir. The Jazz Ensemble will also perform selections by Les Brown and Steve Brown.
