Housing

Ithaca College does not offer housing for extramural (nondegree) students; however, rental options in and around the Ithaca area may be found on craigslist or through Cornell's off-campus housing service.

ID Card

Students need an Ithaca College identification card to obtain a summer parking permit, check out books from the library, set up a computer account to use a computer lab, pick up mail at the post office, and use the Fitness Center and the outdoor swimming pool. Matriculated and extramural students who already have an Ithaca College ID card and have registered for the May session or for both of the five-week summer sessions may continue to use their ID, but only during the session(s) for which they have registered. There is a replacement fee for lost or stolen ID cards.

Information Technology Services

Nondegree students may use the computers in several labs operated by Information Technology Services (ITS). The largest and most-used computer facility is the complex on the first floor of Friends Hall. The labs are staffed by student consultants who are skilled at helping people with various computer applications. Before you can use ITS's services, you'll need an account. Just stop by Job Hall Center for Information Technology with your student ID card.

Library

The Ithaca College Library, located in Gannett Center, offers numerous services and information resources in electronic and print formats, including books, periodicals, compact discs, phonograph records, audiotapes, and videotapes. An online catalog is available to locate materials. You can search the catalog in the library or your personal computer. Reference librarians are also available to assist you. You will find that these helpful individuals can provide tips on how to use various print and electronic resources, direct you to appropriate materials, and recommend research strategies.

Netpass

Students registered for classes at Ithaca College are asked to activate their Netpass account using a Homer ID and PIN provided during the registration process. Instructions for obtaining a Homer ID and PIN, and for activating a Netpass account (and ithaca.edu email account) will be provided in an email message confirming your official registration.
