Note important academic calendar dates, including course start dates and when you must add, drop, or withdraw from coursework.

Academic Calendar

The Office of the Registrar maintains Ithaca College's academic calendar for every fall/spring semester and winter/spring sessions. Please review the calendar carefully to find important dates, including the first day of class or the last day to drop or withdraw from a class for example. Also please review the Office of Extended Studies (OES) calendar below for specific non-degree student dates. It is the responsibility of each non-degree seeking student to be aware of both calendars. If you have any questions regarding dates and deadlines, please reach out to us at oes@ithaca.edu

FALL 2025

  • April 15, 2025 – IC Course Schedule Available
  • June 23, 2025 – Non-degree Registration Application Available
  • July 15, 2025 – Fall IC Employee Tuition Remission Application Closes
  • August 15, 2025 – Non-degree Registration Application Closes
  • August 21, 2025 – Non-degree Registration Begins for Audits, Semester & Block I Courses
  • August 25, 2025 – First Day of Block I and Semester Courses
  • August 29, 2025 – Non-degree Last Day to Add & Drop Audits, Semester & Block I Courses
  • September 1, 2025 – No Classes & The Office of Extended Studies (OES) is Closed (Labor Day)
  • October 2 & 3, 2025 – No Classes (Fall Break)
  • October 9, 2025 – Non-degree Registration Begins for Audits & Block II Courses
  • October 17, 2025 – Last Day of Block I Courses
  • October 20, 2025 – First Day of Block II Courses
  • October 24, 2025 – Non-degree Last Day to Add & Drop Audits & Block II Courses
  • November 22 – No Classes (Thanksgiving Break)
  • November 26 – 28, 2025 – The Office of Extended Studies (OES) is Closed (Thanksgiving Break)
  • December 11, 2025 – Last Day of Fall Semester Classes & Block II Courses

WINTER 2026

  • October 20, 2025 – IC Course Schedule available & Non-degree Registration Application Available
  • November 3, 2025 – Non-degree Registration Begins
  • December 5, 2025 – Non-degree Registration Application Closes
  • December 15, 2025 – Winter IC Employee Tuition Remission Application Closes
  • December 18, 2025 – First Day of Classes for 3 & 4 Credit Courses
  • December 19, 2025 – Non-degree Last Day to Add/Drop
  • December 21, 2025 – January 5, 2025 – The Office of Extended Studies (OES) is Closed (Winter Break)
  • January 2, 2026 – First Day of Classes for 1 & 2 Credit Courses
  • January 16, 2026 – Classes End

  • December 15, 2025 – Spring IC Employee Tuition Remission Application Closes
  • January 9, 2026 – Non-degree Registration Application Closes
  • January 15, 2026 – Non-degree Registration Begins for Audits, Semester & Block I Courses
  • January 19, 2026 – The Office of Extended Studies (OES) is Closed (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
  • January 20, 2026 – First Day of Block I and Semester Courses
  • January 26, 2026 – All IC Students Last Day to Add/Drop for Audits, Semester & Block I
  • March 13, 2026 – Last Day of Block I Courses
  • March 14, 2026 – March 22, 2026 – No Classes (Spring Holiday but OES is Open)
  • March 12, 2026 – 2025 Non-degree Registration Begins for Audits and Block II Courses
  • March 23, 2026 – First Day of Block II Courses
  • March 27, 2026 – Non-degree Last Day to Audit, Add or Drop Block II Courses
  • April 7, 2026 – No Classes (Whalen Symposium)
  • May 6, 2026 – Last Day of Spring Semester & Block II Courses

  • July 3, 2026 – Last Day of Classes Summer Session I
