The power of encouraging students to participate in meaningful experiences goes a long way and contributes to a successful journey. Nominate first-year students to join the Office of Student Engagement and the Office of New Student and Transition Programs for a weekend of leadership activities! Be on the lookout for a nomination form in late fall 2021.

What is Leadership Weekend?
The Leadership Weekend Retreat is a program designed by the Office of Student Engagement and the Office of New Student and Transition Programs for all first-year students at IC. Together, our offices encourage emerging leaders to discuss their personal thoughts on leadership,  connect with like-minded first-year students, and further their involvement at the college. In addition, Leadership Weekend gives first-year students a chance to enhance their collegiate experiences as they navigate the vastness of what it means to be engaged. 

What are the logistics of this event?
Leadership Weekend is held on campus during times when classes are not in session.  There is no cost to students to participate and all materials will be provided.  Participants are required to attend the entirety of the program.

Leadership Weekend Applications are free to apply and will open in late fall 2021.

How do I know if I've been selected to attend?
After the application deadline, the Leadership Weekend team will meet to review all of the applications and select participants. Following the selection process, applicants will be notified by e-mail regarding the status of their application.
