How have you benefited from being involved in a student organization at IC? I feel that being involved in a student organisation at IC has given me a sense of community and allowed me to meet so many different kinds of people.

What puts you instantly in a good mood? A nicely scented diffuser and a room with good lighting- I find it very grounding

What is something fun we would find out about you from your social media algorithm? You would find out that I’m always trying to learn a new skill like learning French or how to play Sudoku, because one half of my algorithm is dedicated to French vocabulary videos or French memes. Right now, I’m learning how to play chess so that will definitely show up at some point.

What is one way that you would like to make an impact as an SLC this year? Being an SLC means not only being a friendly face in the Office of Student Engagement, but also a resource for student leaders at IC. I hope that I can be resourceful to other students when they come into the office to ask a question or seek guidance.

What is the best thing you've ever splurged on? I splurged on traveling to different European countries while I studied abroad in London. Having never been out of the U.S. before traveling to London, I was able to visit five new countries! I went to select spots in England, France, Spain, Ireland, and Switzerland. I got to experience so many new places and cultures with my friends. No regrets on this splurge!

What is something fun we would find out about you from your social media algorithm? If you looked through my social media algorithm, specifically Instagram reels, you would find out that I'm a wannabe DIY craft girly. I have saved many step-by-step tutorials on a variety of craft ideas. Hopefully I can find some time soon to try out some of these fun DIY projects.

What is one way that you would like to make an impact as an SLC this year? My goal as an SLC this year is to improve fellow student's on-campus experience, in big ways or small. Working for the Office of Student Engagement, I'm looking forward to having the ability to participate in impactful projects, and hopefully, help my peers find a new club/group/team and meet others who'll become part of their IC family.

What is your favorite thing to eat or drink from a dining or retail spot on the IC campus? Burrito Bowl Thursday at Terrace Dining Hall is unbeatable, and the reason Thursday is my favorite day of the week.

Where do you prefer to sit in a movie theater? Back right corner: may seem strange, but these seats are never booked up like the conventionally popular center row, two-thirds of the way back choices. You get space, a panoramic view of the theater... you just have to experience for yourself.

How have you benefited from being involved in a student organization at IC? Student organizations are where I have met some of my current best friends, as well as where I have formed some of the best memories here at IC. Clubs really are a great way to build community but also for you to deepen your time in college.

What puts you instantly in a good mood? Reading a book! Although I don't read as much as I would like, books have always provided a space to escape from my own mind and build my curiosity and wonder (even if it concerns the story I am reading about).

What fictional character would you want to have as a friend? Steve Harrington from Stranger Things. He has shown throughout the show an emotional maturity (through learning via consequences of his own actions) which I think makes him have a (somewhat) deep emotional understanding, as well as his general care for others.
