Travel for the 2022-2023 Academic Year

Student organization travel for the 2022-23 academic year is being considered on a case by case basis and must be  approved by the organization's advisor and the Office of Student Engagement.

Any time a student leaves the city of Ithaca for student-organization-related business, it is considered a travel experience and must be authorized by Ithaca College.  Alternatively, when traveling within Ithaca on behalf of their organization to hold a meeting or run errands is permitted without authorization.

Travel Guidelines
Students should delay travel until fully vaccinated.

Even when fully vaccinated, many areas of the United States are experiencing a rapid rise in cases due to variants, so continuing to exercise caution while traveling and relying on public health practices such as wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, and practicing good hand hygiene is recommended - particularly when indoors or in crowded areas where six feet of physical distance cannot be maintained.

As of June 25, 2021, the New York State Travel Advisory is no longer in effect.  As such, travelers arriving in New York are no longer required to submit traveler health forms. All domestic travelers should follow all CDC travel requirements.

The status of individual locations can change rapidly and may be reclassified during travel, and students should be vigilant about remaining informed of local conditions and changes that may occur while traveling.
