Dear Ithaca College Community,
Please join us for a series of listening sessions on Thursday, September 3, as part of the search for Ithaca College’s 11th president.
These sessions will help the Presidential Search Committee and our partners at WittKieffer develop the leadership profile that will guide the search. Come prepared to share your thoughts on:
- Ithaca College’s greatest opportunities and challenges over the next five years
- What our next president should accomplish
- The experience, qualifications, and leadership qualities the role will require
- What makes you proud to be part of the Ithaca College community
- What prospective candidates should understand about the college and the greater Ithaca community
All listening sessions will take place in Emerson Suites:
- Faculty open session: 11:50 a.m.–12:50 p.m. (common hour)
- Staff open session: 3:00–3:50 p.m.
- General campus community open session: 4:00–4:50 p.m.
- Student open session: 5:00–5:50 p.m.
Members of the community are welcome to attend the session designated for their constituency or the general campus session.
We will also hold two informal drop-in sessions with Board of Trustees leadership that day, providing an additional opportunity for members of the campus community to connect with us.
The Board leadership drop-ins will take place in Klingenstein Lounge:
- 10:00–11:00 a.m.
- 2:00–2:50 p.m.
If you have not yet completed the Ithaca College Presidential Search Input Survey, I encourage you to do so by Friday, September 4. The survey provides another opportunity to share your perspective on the college’s future and the leadership needed to help shape it. It also allows members of the community to confidentially nominate individuals for consideration.
Selecting Ithaca College’s next president is among the most consequential responsibilities entrusted to the Board of Trustees, and the insight of our community is essential to the process. Whether you participate in a listening session, attend a drop-in conversation, complete the survey, or engage in more than one of these opportunities, we welcome your perspective and encourage you to take part.
