Bio Statement 
Maria Eduarda Formoso is a senior at Ithaca College pursuing a B.S. in Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, and Communications with a minor in Graphic Design. On campus, she serves as an Apartment Assistant, supporting residents through programming focused on belonging, mental health, and navigating life away from home. She also works for the Marketing and Communications office at Ithaca College, contributing to campus-wide storytelling, digital strategy, and institutional outreach efforts.

Maria Eduarda leads the IC Rotaract Club, where she coordinates community service projects that strengthen local partnerships and encourage student engagement with social impact work. She also serves as the Vice President of Alumni Relations for Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) and as the Vice President of the Senior Class, helping build traditions, foster connections, and uplift class spirit. She is also very involved in Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, where she organizes weekly gatherings centered on themes of identity, hope, and God’s fathership. As a Brazilian student, she is active in BRASA, a club that brings Brazilian students together. Across all her campus commitments, her leadership is rooted in creating spaces where students feel seen, heard, and supported in their academic and personal journeys.

Beyond campus, Maria Eduarda serves as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator at Sustainable Finger Lakes. In this role, she manages social media, newsletters, and storytelling campaigns that highlight climate action, environmental justice initiatives, and community resilience across the region.

What is an IAP Scholar?

As an IAP scholar, Maria Eduarda strengthens her leadership skills by attending three leadership workshops each semester, volunteering in the community, maintaining high grades, and attending large networking events on campus.
