Bio Statement
Hee Jin is a junior pursuing a B.F.A. in Stage Management with a minor in Live Event Design and Management. She is deeply committed to her field and passionate about fostering equitable, culturally diverse creative spaces. She actively seeks international collaboration, believing that integrating different experiences and perspectives adds meaningful cultural value to artistic work.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, she translated this passion into impactful backstage roles, including Props Production Assistant for Catch Me If You Can, Props Assistant Stage Manager for Titanic, and Stage Manager for Oedipus: The Fate of the Story, a new play workshop translated from Korean to English. Her dedication to artistic excellence earned her induction into the Oracles Honor Society. Beyond the stage, she is an active member of the IAP, Leadership Scholar, and Peer Leader communities. These roles reflect her commitment to

student development, equitable leadership, and community engagement. Her service includes work with Prunty’s Pantry, the Youth Farm Project, and the Annual Apple Pie Bee fundraiser. Since 2024, she has also served on the Orientation Team, guiding new student transitions and supporting diversity, equity, and belonging initiatives.

In Summer 2025, she represented her institution internationally during the Upstate NY International Counselor Tour. Beginning Fall 2025, she joined the Ithaca College HR Office, where she supports student employees and helps develop wellness-centered HR content inspired by the Dimensions of Wellness Model. Across all her roles, Hee Jin embodies collaborative leadership, cultural exchanges, and a commitment to helping others thrive.

What does it mean to be an IAP Scholar?

To me, being an IAP Scholar means I don’t have to navigate my journey alone—I’m part of an international community that cares about justice, learning, and building a more equitable world. IAP is my greatest asset; it gives me the support, connections, language, ideas, and courage to turn my experiences as a Korean student studying abroad into something that can positively impact others.
