Bio Statement
Shana Desir is a physical therapy major with a double minor in exercise science and sports psychology. Outside of the classroom she works as a lab assistant in the biomechanics lab and a resident assistant for the Shared Journeys RLC. She also serves as the vice president for IC Haitians, is a BOLD scholar, and plays on the women’s basketball team. With a strong passion for community, she also serves as the service chair for her sorority – the Xi Phi chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. This past semester she had the opportunity to help organize a donation drive for families with newborns in the greater Ithaca community, volunteer at the campus food pantry, participate in food packaging with Eco Reps, assist in the South Hill park clean up, and help build housing for houseless women with Habitat for Humanity.
