Bio Statement

Manan Maini is a Business Analytics major with a minor in Computer Science at Ithaca College, where he is a Next Genius Scholar. Over the past year, he has been actively involved on campus, was serving as a Senator for the Class of 2028 and right now serving as a Peer Educator at the BIPOC Unity Center and Resident Assistant with Residential life Office where he supports community-building and fosters inclusive spaces for students from underrepresented backgrounds. He is also an Orientation Leader, helping incoming students connect to campus and navigate their first year.

In the past summer, Manan completed a business technology internship at Anytech Pvt. Ltd., where he gained hands-on experience at the intersection of tech and business strategy. During the academic year, he also worked on developing skills in operations, leadership, and team management in a fast-paced retail environment. These roles have deepened his commitment to using business and technology as tools to solve real-world problems and support communities.

Manan has presented on emerging topics like the Metaverse and its business implications, and he continues to seek opportunities that connect his academic training with leadership and social impact. He is passionate about education, equity, and innovation, and he strives to use his privilege and platform to create pathways for others, especially within BIPOC and first-generation communities. Whether through campus leadership, internships, or community-centered work, he remains committed to service, learning, and helping others grow.

What does it mean to be an IAP Scholar?

For me, being an IAP Scholar means having the chance to grow into someone who can give back in meaningful ways — not just with what I achieve, but with how I show up for others, especially those who might not have had the same opportunities.
