Getting Started

Next, candidates should:

1. Apply to Ithaca College via the Common Application. Auditions and interviews, which are required for majors in the School of Music and Department of Theatre Arts, must also be completed on time to continue to be considered in our process as "admitted students."

2. Complete the MLK Scholar Program application in IC Connect. The MLK Scholar Program application for fall 2022 applicants will be available during the first week of November 2021.

(Please note that you will not be able to access the application until you have submitted your application for admission to Ithaca College.)

3. Stay tuned for upcoming info sessions and opportunities to engage with current MLK Scholars. This website will be updated regularly throughout the fall and spring semester with dates, links, and descriptions for these opportunities.

4. Watch your email. If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will be invited to an interview with one of our Program Team faculty or staff members.
