Our Master’s in Athletic Training students practiced managing heat stroke cases in the Acute Care lab. In this hands-on lab, students worked together to quickly and efficiently transport a patient into an ice water immersion tub—one of the most effective treatments for exertional heat stroke. This training reinforces the importance of immediate cooling and teamwork in emergency situations.
