The EcoTox Lab had a table at Applefest 2025 to connect with the Ithaca community and inform them of aquatic pollutants in the local watershed! Their table had a variety of infographics, displays, and a fun, interactive game for those who stopped by to test their forever chemical knowledge. 163 total people were reached throughout the weekend!
When asked about why public outreach is so important, senior Ecotox member Charlie Stearns said, "It was formative to be able to talk about our research in different contexts."
Elliot House-Kelly, the lab's newest member, was surprised by how many people stopped by the table. "There was a lot more public interest than I expected, which was really cool to see."
