On August 30, 2021, an announcement was sent to the campus community about the passing of beloved trombone teacher, Harold Reynolds. Professor Reynolds taught at Ithaca College in the Department of Performance Studies for 33 years before retiring in Spring 2021.  Professor Reynolds also directed Trombone Troupe, Ithaca College's trombone choir. 

Please join the SoM community for a School of Music Memorial Service, followed by Trombone Troupe Concert Friday, November 12th.

The Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Hockett Family Recital Hall, featuring remembrances by colleagues, friends, and students of Professor Reynolds as well as performances. This event will be roughly one hour, followed by a reception in the McHenry Lobby.

 The Trombone Troupe Concert will be held at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall, including the world premiere of Nathan Tanouye’s “Three Sketches for Trombone Choir”, commissioned in the Spring 2021 to honor the career and legacy of our beloved “Doc.”
