ACTEC Mentor/Cooperating Teacher Policy
All mentor/cooperating teachers must be certified in the discipline and be tenured or hold national certification. Requests for exceptions to this policy must be made in writing to the program coordinator with a rationale. The committee also agrees that, while the requirements listed above are baseline requirements, we all look for teachers in both rural and urban schools who demonstrate a variety of successful teaching skills and strategies and have experience working with a variety of students and grade levels.

Please note: All student teacher evaluations are submitted on-line. You will receive an email with the customized link to submit your evaluation at least one week before the evaluation is due back to us.
NOTE: Only payment forms for the current academic year will be accepted. For fall placements this payment form should be submitted by January 1st and for the spring semester, this payment form must be submitted or postmarked by May 15th. Along with this form, please also submit a completed W-9 form. Forms received after June 1st will not be able to be processed.

edTPA materials (secure site)
If you are a current student teaching mentor, you should have received a username and password to access the edTPA handbooks and materials. If you need credentials resent, please contact Emily Hess at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In Fall 2016, Ithaca College transitioned to using the InTASC Standards to guide our program and assess our student teachers.
