Monica is the founder and chief executive officer of Compass Advisors, LLC. She has 30 years of C-Suite and board experience in public and privately held hospitality, gaming, entertainment, and real estate development companies worldwide. As founder and CEO of Compass Advisors, LLC, Monica focuses on providing strategic advisory support to senior level executives, private equity investors and boards of directors in the areas of human capital strategy and management, business leadership, talent development and organizational planning.
Prior to establishing Compass Advisors, Monica was chief human resources officer for Caesars Entertainment Corporation for several years. Prior to her tenure at Caesars, she played a key role in the expansion of Montage International’s portfolio of hotels and helped to launch the Pendry luxury lifestyle brand as chief human resources officer for six years.
Monica also spent twelve years as executive vice president, global human resources at Kerzner International Resorts, parent company of the Atlantis and One&Only resorts. In addition, she served in leadership positions with ITT Sheraton Corporation/Starwood Hotels & Resorts for ten years.
In 2020, she was named to the board of Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc., a public real estate investment trust (REIT) in the hospitality and lodging sector. In 2022, she was appointed to the boards of CopperPoint Insurance Companies and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. In 2024, she joined the board of Seaport Entertainment Group after the successful completion of the spin-off from Howard Hughes Holdings. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
